  • Our Park Upgrades:

    Neighbors,
    June 2008.  We received the news;
    Re:  $50,000 Fort Worth Public Art project
    "Our" C.P. Hadley park has been awarded the project!!!
    We were one of two recipients this year!!!
    Thank you for letters of support!  Thanks to Jungus Jordan for sending the application to me via my husband!
    August 2008 Hi y'all,
    Cyndi sent this plan to me.  Here it is for you to look at. Open the attachment, it's okay.
    Just so you know, phase one will be a trail head at the entrance to C.P. Hadley Park from Wildflower Way.  The trail will continue on the south side of the creek and continue to Summer Creek Ranch privately maintained park.  The north side of the creek will not be done in phase one.
    They are not going to add to our Summer Creek playground right now nor are they building the pavilion during phase one.
    Eric Seabrook, the landscape architect said he is going to look into rocking the sides of the drainage pipe that runs south under Wildflower Way.  He thinks they can do that during Phase one.  They will remove the concrete bags that are there now.
    September 2008  Hello everyone,  I have great news.
    As you all know, I wrote a grant for the $50,000 art project (offered to Dist. 6 and Dist. 3 only) to be built in the C.P. Hadley Park and won it.
         Today I met with Tim Fleet and he agreed to donate $25,000 to the art project.  Now we will be able to have a larger piece of art in the park!!  The FWPublicArt fund is now $75,000 !!!
         Also, Jungus told me he has a verbal commitment from someone to pay for landscaping and watering of all the medians on Summer Creek from Dirks Rd./Alta Mesa, south to Risinger Rd., then the 2 or 3 medians to the west on Risinger Rd.  I don't know how quick they will do the work but this is GREAT news.  Our neighborhood is going to be a real jewel when all the construction is complete!!
    I hope you enjoy this news as much as I have!
